I am an Associate Creative Director at the Wikimedia Foundation, the nonprofit that operates Wikipedia (yup, the Wikipedia!)
That means I develop and oversee creative work to promote 14 different projects supported by the Wikimedia Foundation, nearly 300,000 volunteers, and over a hundred affiliates around the world. All while helping convey how fundamental free knowledge is to all of us.
That does not mean I write, edit, or publish Wikipedia articles—although I can, in my capacity as a volunteer. (And you can, too!)
Now, please enjoy a quick anecdote about me below.
I was born to a dentist turned attorney, and an engineer turned cattle rancher, which doesn’t really explain anything but sounds cool. I always knew I wanted to work in advertising, so naturally, I went to law school instead. My parents are still convinced I’d make more bling if I were a lawyer. Help me prove them wrong.
